Sales Consultant

 The Sales Consultant is responsible for managing all aspects of the new and used vehicle sales process, from the time the customer enters the dealership to the point of sale and beyond. The Sales Consultant will be passionate about building an ongoing relationship with customers with the objective of creating brand loyalty and the highest level of customer satisfaction. The Sales Consultant is focused on achieving sales targets and utilizes the tools provided to them to achieve sales excellence. 

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers; 
  •  Greets customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner; 
  • Listens to customers' needs and takes action; 
  •  Assists customers in understanding the offering and then selecting an appropriate vehicle; 
  •  Creates a customer base through effective contact methods that work for the customer; 
  •  Keeps detailed records of all interactions with customers; 
  •  Handles all customer queries and concerns with a genuine intent to resolve their problems or issues; 
  •  Makes prospect calls and follows-up with customers within specific time-frames; 
  •  Demonstrates favourable public and employee contacts; 
  • Prepares delivery of new vehicle and ensures all aspects of the delivery process are completed; 
  • Ensures all documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner; 
  • Reviews and analyzes actions regularly to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively; 
  •  Takes a positive approach toward helping customers and co-workers; 
  • Uses closing techniques effectively and seeks help from management where necessary; 
  • Follows-up with each customer to ensure their complete satisfaction; 
  •  Sets goals for monthly productivity; 
  • Stay up-to-date on all dealership training; 
  • Acquires total product knowledge and communicates effectively features and benefits of all models; 
  •  Explains technical features to customers, providing them with a number of options and benefits; 
  • Champions excellent service at all times;

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required 
  • College certificate or additional courses are an asset 
  • Holds a valid class G driver's licence 
  • Automotive sales experience is an asset 
  • Provincially licenced or ability to become provincially licenced as recognized by the MVDA (OMVIC) 
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends 

  • Full-time work, approximately 40-48 hours per week 
  • Able to participate in snow removal during the winter months

Schedule: Monday to Friday


Salary/Hourly Wage: Commensurate with experience
